Operation Christmas Child

The Official website describes this project this way: "Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ."

I don't know about you, but I want to be part of this! Our youth group will be taking a big part of it. The whole church will be meeting to put together as many shoe boxes as we can, but our youth group will be meeting also on our own to set up even more boxes ourselves. Valeri is helping me out on this project, so soon she will have more info, but for now, I leave you with a video that shows how they gave out gifts in Panama last year with Operation Christmas Child. This is what it's all about.. Loving people the way God loves us...
